Immerse yourself in the creative process of avant-garde artist Matthew Dear and his new single What You Don’t Know.
Floating above you is a magic ball in virtual reality that emits sounds. In the distance, planetary objects orbit around you to the beat. And directly ahead is a sound / visual wave that bounces, swells and twists in time with the complex melodies.
This virtual experience via the web is developed in Three.js.
Then you can have the virtual experience. We recommend good headphones and put the experience in full screen. You will enter an imaginary 3D space to make music. Then move your mouse to have different 3D perspectives of the experience. Then it begins to interact with objects intuitively. You will listen closer to the sound objects that you have nearby. You will observe objects that when touched will modulate the music in real time. Enjoy it!!!
This multi-track or sound channel display lets you spin through eight unique instruments, manipulate the volume and speed of each, and DJ like you’re standing at a giant virtual turntable.
The result is a virtual music experience that asks you what do you know about music creation?
Whether through virtual reality, mobile device or desktop, this WebVR experience offers a new way to appreciate the art of music as protagonist.
